Orchestra Boosters
The Oakton Orchestra Boosters are the parent volunteer group for the orchestra program at Oakton HS. They assist Mr. Oppenheimer and the orchestra by organizing fundraising initiatives, helping set-up and run events, providing funds to support student engagement and new equipment aquisition and other tasks to maintain the quality of orchestra program.
Not a lot of time is required to help out the orchestra department. Most of the jobs are a one-day time commitment or require very little work or preparation time at home. Email Boosters ohsorchestras.boosters@gmail.com to find out how you can help!

Here are the members of the Booster Board for the 2026-2027 School Year. We are excited to extend an invitation for you to consider becoming a member of our board. As a board member, you will have the opportunity to contribute your unique expertise and insights, helping us support Oakton Orchestra.
This year we are looking for several co-chairs to run the organization alongside of our outgoing Board Executives as their students graduate this year! The co-chairs will learn the position to fill the role next year.

Meetings
Here are the dates for the 2026-2027 Booster meetings. Unlike other Booster organizations, all parents are automatically Booster members and all are welcome to attend the meetings! Meetings are at 7pm, unless otherwise specified. Most are in person but also virtual as needed. Come join us!

Fundraising and Volunteers
Fundraising and Volunteers go together like peanut butter and jelly, and are the backbone of the success of our Organization. Throughout the year we have several fundraising activities and volunteers help get it all done. All proceeds from fundraising go directly into Orchestra through providing financial assistance for families in need for the field trip, instruments and equipment/supplies, Orchestra Director professional development, OSLO support to name a few.
Orchestra Store - Each year we open the Orchestra store for you to shop apparel products! Be on the lookout for the link to the store when it opens! We partner with a local business and the quality of the merchandise is fantastic. Shop is open until 5pm September 28th! Oakton Orchestra Apparel Store
Donut Sales - Every concert you can buy a dozen fresh that day Krispy Kreme donuts! We’ll save you the drive to Manassas or Alexandria and these are the perfect after concert treat for your musician. We take Cash, Check, Zelle, Credit Card.
Cheesecakes - Our flagship fundraiser. We partner with local vendor in Maryland to provide cheesecakes in time for the holidays. Be on the lookout for the order form in October for you/your musician to sell cheesecakes to your family/friends/network. Cheesecake pickup at Oakton takes place before the Thanksgiving break.

Direct Donations – If you or someone you know would like to support our Orchestra, they can make a direct donation to the boosters. We gratefully accept donations at any time. Every amount makes a difference. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all contributions are tax-deductible.
