END OF SCHOOL YEAR NOTES AND THOUGHTS

 

CONGRATULATIONS:  To all Orchestras for a fabulous spring concert last week!  All groups delighted the audience with a wonderful music program.  Senior solos performed by Jungwook Jin and Evan Cannon were a particular delight, as were the marching violins for the grand finale piece. We will miss all twenty of our seniors very much and wish them great and wonderful things in their next life adventures.  Please come back and visit us!   

 

THANK YOU:  To the following awesome parent volunteers who made the Annual Award Dinner such a great success:  Diane Farmer, Yon Kim, Yeo-Lin Lee and Margaret Bassett. Also, a big shout-out to Marie Colturi and Wendy Smith for providing extras sets of helping hands.  Finally, a huge, personal thank you to my fellow Booster Club Board members and committee heads for steering the Orchestra program through another successful year. Your selfless dedication to the program, and especially, to our kids, is truly priceless.

 

REMINDER:  Please return all rented concert uniforms to Mrs. Myers prior to the end of the school year.  Make sure the rented items are dry-cleaned and have your name noted on each piece!

FINALLY, CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU TO DEB MYERS for surviving her first year back at OHS, and for expertly guiding us through a transitional year. She has consistently given her best to all our students, and has grown them into even better musicians and citizens.  Let's all give her our support for another successful year.
