Time: 3:00 PM- ????

Audition requirements: Scales 30 %, sight-reading 30 %, prepared excerpts 40 %

Scales: All major and minor scales up to and including 3 sharps and 3 flats 

Violin, Viola, and Cello:  3-octaves. Ascending: 2-slurred, 2 - martele. Descending: slur 4. MM.=120

Bass – 2 continuous octaves.  Ascending: 2-slurred, 2 - martele. Descending: slur 4. MM.=120

All scales must be memorized.

 

Prepared excerpts:  See Mrs. Myers for excerpts. 

Sight-reading: practice sight-reading skills!
