DATES TO REMEMBER
BACK TO ORCHESTRA NIGHT is Wednesday, September 28th in the OHS Lecture Hall at 7:00 p.m. All new orchestra families are expected to attend,
and all returning families are strongly encouraged to participate. Mr.
Oppenheimer will unveil exciting details about this year's spring trip
and other exciting programming activities. Also, uniform measuring for new students will take place on Orchestra night. Bring your checkbook to place your uniform order! Volunteers Needed Many
hands make light work, and it is also a lot of fun! Please considering
volunteering a little bit of your time to the Orchestra this year. Volunteer Opportunities can be found on the Webiste http://www.ohsorchestras.org/orchestra-boosters-info/volunteers We have an immediate need for several people to measure for new uniforms. (Description: Measure
for new uniforms, complete order forms, & distribute in the fall.
Collect and inventory uniforms in spring for rental.) This will be done at back to orchestra night. Please email myself or Mr. Oppenheimer if you are available to help with this. Thank you. PLEASE RETURN FORMS! to class ASAP. These include: Student Information Form handed out in class and at Cougar Kick-off, Participation Fee Form Handed out in Class Student-Parent-Teacher Contract attached at the back of the Handbook and Syllabus (which was distributed in all classes in the past few days) THIS FORM IS ALSO AVAILABLE ON THE "Forms and Documents" tab of the OHS Orchestra Website). Parents as well as students are expected to review the Handbook for a good understanding of class expectations. The 2016-2017 Orchestra Calendar can be found on the web sitehttp://www.ohsorchestras.org/ Please make sure all concert and other dates are transferred onto your family calendars. Concert participation is MANDATORY for all students! SENIOR REGIONAL AUDITIONS are coming up on Monday, September 26th at JEB Staurt High School, 4PM. BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHTS for 9th and 10th graders is Wednesday, September 15th. BTS Night for 11th and 12th graders is Thursday,September 22nd. Mr. Oppeheimer will share a brief overview of classroom plans and expectations.
REMIND 101 enrollment is available to all students and parents who would like to receive text message reminders from Mr. Oppenheimer about class assignments, concerts, auditions and other important things. Instructions for enrolling are in the Orchestra Handbook (a copy of which is on our website) and will also be available at Back-to-School Night and Orchestra Night.
