"Congratulations to all who auditioned!  Remember every audition you take makes you a better player and more aware of how you respond to performance anxiety.  The time spent learning the music and scales will pay off in the future.  Use the experience to enhance your playing and learn from your mistakes.
I'm very proud of all of you!" - Mr. Oppenheimer

Oakton High School is home to a thriving orchestra program and the musicians and their parents are great prospects for your business.

Advertising in our program allows your business to reach a community of musicians and music lovers!

Our dedicated orchestra students take private lessons and  participate in a wide variety of orchestral activities throughout the year.

If this sounds appealing (and potentially profitable), please consider advertising in our concert programs!  We publish five concert programs during the school year, one for each school concert, which are dutifully attended by a dedicated cadre of parents, friends and family.  Rates are affordable too!  Please see the attached flyer and order from for more information.  The advertising flyer is also available under the "Forms and Documents" tab of our website at OHS Orchestra Website.  Please contact Jennifer Skangos, at (703) 501-0242 with questions.

On October 15th and 16th, the orchestra classes will be getting information, order forms, etc. for the cheesecake fundraiser.  They will have two full weeks to sell and the due date for the orders will be October 30th (right before the 4 day weekend).  All orders will need to be picked up on Monday, November 23rd, time and location TBD. On that Monday, volunteers are needed to distribute the cheesecakes before the students pick up their orders.  If you can volunteer, contact Jennifer Skangos and  Terri Leckner .  Thanksgiving is on Thursday of that week so it is a perfect dessert to add to your Thanksgiving Meal!!  Also, you can freeze them for the Winter Holidays, yummy!!

On Thursday, October 29th at 7 p.m. in the OHS Auditorium.  Please mark your calendars for this marvelous evening of music to kick off our school concert season.  Attendance for all students is mandatory - and you won't want to miss it anyway as our concerts always promise to be amazingly great - and free!
