M-I-C (See ya' in June) K-E-Y (Why? For our final concert!) M-O-U-S-E. . .   Forgive the timeless Disney chant - I'm still reorienting to life back home.  For those of you who missed our majical adventure to Disney World, here's a recap -

Disney Festival Orchestra (Combined Concert/Symphonic) - "Superior" rating on their performance

Chamber Orchestra - "Superior +" rating on their performance, "Best in Class" Trophy, and  Gold Award in Orchestra Division (highest scoring orchestra in      the   festival). WOOT!!!

THANK YOU TO OUR FEARLESS CHAPERONES:  Diane Farmer, Rita Dettmar, Joe Dettmar, Henry Giffis, Holly Batti, Susan Geshan and Glen Easley (and me) for sacrificing sleep, leave time, fashion (ponchos were de riguer), comfort (long days walking) and diets (fast food every day!) to keep our kids safe and happy.
THANK YOU TO MRS. MYERS for planning a superbly enjoyable excursion to the Sunshine State (although we saw little of the sun) and for preparing our musicians for their great success at the festival.
EXTRA SPECIAL THANK YOUS TO OUR AWESOME KIDS for their excellent attitudes, behavior, and support of each other.  As I've said before, our orchestra kids are the best of the best kids - anywhere. They represented OHS and our community exceptionally.  We are very, very proud of you!!!
SPECIAL REQUEST:  Kids should bring in a print of their favorite trip photo to Mrs. Myers to post on the Orchestra bulletin board.  Also, kids and chaperones should send digital downloads of trip photos to me at the email address below for posting on the website and for a special slide show at the year-end concert. Photos from the kids are especially needed as most of you were successful in ditching your chaperones in the parks - so we have very few pics of our own!
