A BELATED THANK YOU!  To all of our fearless chaperones who successfully and tirelessly ferried our children to and fro Orlando on their SUPER FUN trip to Disney World:  Raghavender Joshi and Neeraj Saraf (our fearless "trucker dads"!), Dawn Sweeney, Jean Sherman, Andy Forrest, and Dionne Ding.  A good time was had by all, and priceless friendship and fun ensued.  We can't wait until next year's adventure!  NOTE TO ALL TRIP PARTICIPANTS:  Please contact Webmaster Bill Lankenau  if you have photos to share!  We would love to post them on our website so that everyone can revisit fond memories of our trip!  Mr. Lankenau will let you know the best way to share your memories with us.

MARY POPPINS is visiting Oakton High School this week!  The OHS Performing Arts Department is performing "Mary Poppins" for its annual spring musical this week, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, at 7 p.m.  Advance tickets for $12 are on sale at lunch every day this week, and tickets for $15 are on sale at the door every night (checks payable to "OHS"). Don't miss this most special evening of professional quality entertainment from the exceptionally talented OHS student community, including:  Maggie Chen and Conor Moran (performing in the orchestra); Mr. Oppenheimer (conducting Act 1); and Jack Lankenau and Shiva  Zarean (performing/singing roles). The show promises to be SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!

DATE CHANGES!   Please mark your calendars to note the following date changes for the end of year activities:

May 21:  The Senior Recital will NOT take place on May 21!  Instead, our seniors' special performances will be integrated into the Spring Concert program on June 4.  However, the Senior Tribute rehearsal will still take place on May 21 after school in the Orchestra Room.  All participants know who they are.

June 4:  Our final concert of the year, the Spring Awards Concert, will take place this evening, 7 p.m. in the OHS Auditorium.  Please mark your calendars for the culmination of our special year of music making together, with senior solos and concerts from each of our four orchestras.

Week of June 8:  Our end of year picnic celebration will take place at the end of this week.  We are still formalizing details, but we will celebrate our fabulous year together with a fun afternoon picnic on June 11 or 12 at a local park. More details will follow, and volunteers will be asked to contribute supplies and talents.   All families are encouraged to attend to celebrate the conclusion of another year of growth and friendship with our extended orchestra families.

Please contact Mr. Oppenheimer with questions about any of the above!
