ORLANDO TRIP:  Due to successful fundraising efforts, the final trip cost came in lower than anticipated:  $675 per participant!  Thanks to all families who supported fundrasing efforts to make the trip affordable.  Diane Farmer, our treasurer, has reconciled student accounts for the trip.  Those students who have a balance due will be receiving a statement shortly; please send in your balance ASAP as we are making our final payment to the travel company now.  Overpayments are being returned to you unless you have instructed Diane to retain overpayments in your student's account to be used toward future program expenses.  ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING STUDENT ACCCOUNTS SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO DIANE FARMER AT dianea.farmer@verizon.net.

KOREAN AMERICAN FAMILY INITIATIVE:  In an effort to improve communications and encourage parental participation from all of our wonderful orchestra families, the Booster Club is initiating a new liaison program with our Korean American families.  Please come to the concert on Thursday to hear more and meet our new liaison leaders!

It's been  a quiet winter, but we're ramping up for a busy spring!  Here are a few items for your calendar:

COOKIE DOUGH PICK-UP is this Monday, February 13 from 2:10 to 4 p.m. in the OHS Lecture Hall.  These are refrigerated products, so we can't hold them for you for a later date.  Please ask a friend to pick up your order if you're unable to.  Have fun baking those yummy Valentine's Day treats!

SCRIP ORDER due this coming Wednesday, February 15. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this opportunity, see the GLScrip page for more information. This is an easy way to raiser funds for our program while you do your regular shopping chores.

PRE-FESTIVAL CONCERT is next week, Thursday, February 23 at 7 p.m. in the OHS Auditorium.  All Groups are performing!  Please come out and show your support for our kids.

ORLANDO TRIP PARTICIPANTS will be receiving a final billing statement from our Treasurer, Diane Farmer, soon.  This statement will take into account all fundraising efforts this school year, including the latest cookie dough fundraiser.  More details about the trip will be coming soon as well.  We're nailing down the final plans for our great adventure!

Have a great weekend,
